Parkwood Membership

At Parkwood Gospel Temple, we take membership very seriously. When a person is received into membership, he/she is entering a two way commitment with the other members of this church. We become committed, not only to Christ, but to each other.
It is important to understand:

• ... our doctrines
• ... our philosophy of ministry
• ... our goals
• ... our mission.

When we share these common elements, our church can press forward, touching massive numbers of people for Jesus Christ.
We want each member to share our Pastor's vision for Parkwood Gospel Temple and this community. That way, we can reach out and win our generation for Christ with greater expediency.





MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURE
When you return your completed membership application:

1. It is reviewed by the pastoral staff.
2. It is then reviewed by the Deacon Board of Directors.
3. An interview is scheduled for you with the Membership Committee.
4. Upon recommendation by the Membership Committee, it receives final approval by the Deacon Board of Directors.

Completion of the Cornerstone Course is required in order to receive church membership. The purpose for this is to strengthen you spiritually, providing a good foundation for your faith, and to enable everyone at Parkwood Gospel Temple to move in the same direction with the same vision for the body of Christ.
