Who needs to come?

People..

  • Who are not as happy or as free as they want to be!

  • Who want to overcome negative feelings i.e. anxiety, anger, guilt, shame, poor self-image, etc.

  • Who want to overcome addictive behaviors or want support to live without their addiction.

  • Who want to overcome in such areas as co-dependency, perfectionism, interpersonal relationships, communication skills, marital relations.

  • Who find that their external self differs from their internal self because of mask wearing or hiding of real self.

  • Who find that they want to have their mind renewed, attitudes replaced, new meaning given to negative memories

  • Who want to live the abundant life that Christ came to give us and be the best person they can be for God.

How will you receive help?

As you come...

  • We rely on God as our ultimate healer, through the power of His Holy Spirit. He often uses us as healers for one another. His Holy Spirit brings forth hidden feelings, wrong thinking, repressed emotions and memories, character defects, resentments, fears, etc. that are impeding our happiness.

  • God also uses other people to teach, lead, love, support, guide and to encourage us in our growth and healing.

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32

"Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" - James 5:16

"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things." - Philippians 4:8

What is the format of our meeting?

Relaxed...

  • We follow a non-denominational Christian format where we begin with hymns, a prayer, a teaching and discussion.

  • We then break into small groups where we share on the topic (men with men, women with women).

  • We end the meeting with intercessory prayer. In this warm, non-judgmental, totally accepting and safe environment, we can be free to be who we really are. We learn how to identify and express our feelings, develop good relational skills, expand in our understanding of self, others and God as our loving Father.

Why come to a support group?

Because...

  • Pain not adequately dealt with hampers our ability to live in the freedom God has for us in Christ Jesus.

  • We need to face our problems and our own negative feelings in order that they can be resolved.

  • We need to grow in the love of God, self and people so that we may become healthier, happier people living holier, freer, more meaningful lives.

  • We crave intimate relationships where we can give, receive and express love unconditionally.

  • We want to be an overcomer in our relationship with God, self, spouse, children, parents and relatives.
