We believe that there is more to following Jesus than just attending church on a Sunday morning. Each of us are meant to be a part of a world-wide community of Christians. At Parkwood, one of the ways we try to help strengthen community is though Small Groups.
Small Groups consist of approximately ten people who meet regularly in homes. People attend Small Groups for many different reasons such as: encouragement, fellowship, discussion of scripture, prayer, forming relationships with others, growing in faith, evangelism, accountability and spiritual gift use.
Curriculum
A few times a year, we encourage Small Groups to take part in an organized church-wide Small Group Series. In the past, we have run series such as, Purpose Driven Life, The Truth Project, "Nooma", The Invisible War, What's So Amazing About Grace, The Case for Christ, When God's People Pray, The Hole In Our Gospel and Just Walk Across The Room.
CURRENT SMALL GROUP SERIES: “WHO IS THIS MAN”
by John Ortberg
In Who Is This Man?, Ortberg reveals how Jesus has impacted civilization and individual human hearts.
