pgt_prods_email_logo.jpgDrama.jpgOur society yearns for narratives, metaphors, stories.  Drama is used as a powerful ministry at Parkwood to illustrate bible truths and tell the story of salvation through Jesus Christ. Drama is usually used in our Christmas and Easter Outreach productions as well as in Sunday Services at times during the year. Drama parts are sometimes pantomime (no lines to recite), or may have speaking parts. No experience is necessary for some parts. Drama rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 PM (seasonal).  Besides actors, we need help behind the scenes in kitchen help and wait staff (Christmas Production), make-up, promo, lighting, clerical, stagehands and prayer.  Don't assume that there's enough to help...get involved! Contact Eric Brown, Colleen Hope or the Music Office at x 246.

Why we do productions:

  • Because we have an obsession with Jesus Christ (Mark 12:30)
  • Because we have a passion for using our giftings for Christ (1 Peter 4:10)
  • Because we have a commitment to fulfill Christ's Commission (Matthew 28:19-20; Psalm 108:3)
  • Because we feel it's a part of who we are as a church (Isaiah 46:10)

Artisans (craftsmen/women, carpenters, etc.) have a much needed skill and gifting in helping frame the message of the production.  These skills can be applied in the areas of set construction, stage set-up and stage strike, carpentry, electrical, painting, costume making/sewing and prop building.  To help, contact Marc Vachon or the Music Office at x 246.
